What’s up with LIVEº
Last weekend I was at a GO Summit, which is the EFCA’s means to reach out to local churches with information about missions. This was the second GO Summit I have been able to attend. I had a chance to talk with some quality people about coming on board with LIVEº and there was a lot of excitement about what we have to offer.
Staff
Doug is in California visiting a number of churches that are advocates of LIVEº. He will be traveling for close to two weeks visiting churches and talking with potential partners. Pray for him that this time will be profitable in developing lasting partnerships in ministry as well as finding additional team members and team leaders.
Jason and Kim will be joining Doug later this week and visiting some additional churches. This trip has been planned for some time and should prove to be very strategic in generating the kind of interest in LIVEº that we know is possible. Pray also as they have recently moved that they would settle in quickly and have their new place feel like “home” very soon.
I will be leaving for East Timor in a couple weeks. I have been looking forward to this trip for some time. I will be meeting with members of the Evangelical Free Church of Singapore before going to East Timor. We will be traveling to East Timor together and exploring the details of the team scheduled to arrive on the field in 08. Pray for clear communication as we hammer out the details.
Our future staffers are still working hard to raise their support. We hope to have them with us early next year. We need them.
Future Stuff
There are many things happening in the next few weeks that will have an impact LIVEº. One event is a missions conference in Wisconsin where the executive director of ReachGlobal will be speaking and highlighting LIVEº. That will be an important event in further generating momentum for us.
We continue to talk with potential team locations. There are some really exciting possibilities out there as I highlighted last month. We will keep you posted!
